Janna Purcell of G95 Premier Wins Goals of the Year Award

GU11 Captures CSL League Cup Title
 The F.C.Blades GU11 became the first team in club history to win the coveted CSL League Cup championship! The girls made it a double adding the CSL League Cup title to their CSL Silver Elite Co championship by claiming the clubs maiden League Cup title. See details here.

GU14 Won Cerritos Memorial Cup 2011 Champions
 FC Blades GU14 team took home the championship trophy during the Memorial weekend at the Cerritos Memorial Cup. See details here.
Iva Petkov Selected to ODP Young Olympians Program
 For a 3rd year in a row, a young gun from FC Blades is selected to the Cal South ODP Young Olympians Program Pools. This year, Iva Petkov of FC Blades GU11 has been selected to the 2011 ODP program pools. Read more about Iva here.
Blades Teams Slice Their Way Through STATE CUP 2011!!
  
Many FC Blades teams began their challenging road to State Cup glory this past month. After many tough battles the Blades enjoyed a terrific cup run. Both our BU12(coach Glen Gamble) and GU12(coach Alex Filopovic) teams were beaten finalists(Presidents Division) and the GU10’s(coach Andy Winn) were within 5 minutes of the final, before succumbing to semi-final heart break(Presidents Division), despite finishing as the tournaments leading scorers. Needless to say this was a banner year for the club on a State Cup front. Congratulations to all our teams on an amazing State Cup. Good Luck to our older teams who will embark shortly on State and National Cup runs.
Grayson Galbraith named High School Athlete of the Week
 Grayson Galbraith of FC Blades GU15 team, who is a freshman at Woodbridge High School, was named High School Athlete of the Week by OC Varsity and OC Register. The Warriors freshman came up clutch in boht of the team's matches last week, scoring two match-winning goalsin the second half of both games. See articles from OC Varsity and OC Register.
